Designers go bright and selectively bare for Spring ’17.

While a handful of labels at New York Fashion Week made much ado with a “see now, buy now” strategy featuring current season fall looks, most designers opted for a cheerily colorful take on next spring. Projecting a sunny optimism in the face of changing times, everyone from established big names to up-and-comers all decided it was time to lighten up. The collections bore skin here and there with a cutout for everyone.
