The producer shares the ingredients that make a hit.
A powerhouse of the dance scene, French DJ and producer Martin Solveig has enjoyed years of success. He displays his signature sound on “Hello” alongside Dragonette as well as on more recent collaborations with pop songstresses Alma and Tkay Maidza.
On what gives a song staying power, Solveig cites two factors: “To me, its groove and energy are the main ingredients,” he says. “You can sometimes reach that goal with tracks that have an intimate story behind them. Where there’s emotion, there’s goosebumps and energy.” Using those specifications, Solveig put together a playlist exclusively for Furthermore comprised of his own hits (“Places” and “All Stars”) and favorites from fellow dancefloor titans Calvin Harris, Jax Jones, and Fatboy Slim, all with a goal to get you moving.
